So far, I like Brisnet (Bloodstock Research Information Services) the best.
I am reviewing Rich Allen's Horse Betting Professor system, and I like his focus on multi-race bets, as that is where all my profits come from.
Jim Mazur's Progressive Handicapping looks valuable, so I'll be taking a look at his offerings in coming weeks as well.
CompuBet.com is useful for harness racing.

GTA Leafs fans: Buy The Star today
Okay peeps, I know it is July 6th however I was as happy as a kid in a candy store when I saw a full page of Toronto Maple Leafs coverage (page S2) in today's Toronto Star. Alright, the bottom story is about Tomas Kaberle signing with the Hurricanes (4.5 mil a year for 3 years, great for Kabs!), but his elegant and intelligent departure from the Buds means he'll always be a Leaf (unlike Sundin whose exit was unnecessarily messy and unrewarding for Leafs Nation) in the heart of a true fan.
Clarke MacArthur, Tyler Bozak both re-sign with Toronto
Stories on new Swedish goalie Mark Owuya, on the MacArthur and Bozak signings, and an excellent piece by Kevin McGran on Gardiner's and Blacker's reactions to the trade for Cody Franson.
If you don't live in the Greater Toronto Area, you can read the stories online at The Toronto Star articles on Toronto Maple Leafs.

Kaberle may want to check with Vancouver
Sedin twins need replacement for Erhoff
Vancouver can either rebuild for the future, or retool for this year, and if they choose the latter path, Tomas Kaberle could be a suitable replacement for the now-departed Christian Erhoff.
The Sedins need someone to get the puck up fast, and Kabs can do it.

Connolly, Liles add vet presence to fast, young team
Here's a subjective view of the top 40 or so Toronto Maple Leafs and prospects:
* Updated again on July 3rd, 2011, after trade with Nashville Predators, with Leafs acquiring centre Matt Lombardi and defenceman Cody Franson. I can't understand why the Preds gave up on Franson, but let's have a look-see first before commenting much further. As Lebda had fallen to 8th on the Leafs D chart, below Lashoff, bringing in 23 year old Franson fits the Buds nicely. Regarding Slaney, he scored 24 points in 61 games last year, but in the ECHL... whereas Lombardi has a chance to help the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2011-2012 season.

The Leafs take on Lombardi's $3.5 mil for this year and next, again showing faith in Colborne and their other young forwards, especially considering Connolly and Lombardi both have had concussion issues. We drop Lebda's $2.9 mil for 2011-2012, and pick up Franson's reasonable 800k for one year remaining, so we've added $1.4 mil in salary yet have 2 NHLers versus one.
The Toronto Maple Leafs 2011-2012 training camp this September looks to be the most anticipated in years. The Buds will need to get out of the gate strong and be contending through January, if they want to assure themselves of not just being in the 2012 NHL playoffs, but being a factor and playing until at least deep in the second round.

Connolly a smart sign for Leafs
2 year deal for battered vet shows faith in Colborne
Tim Connolly is a potential 65-75 point scorer as a first line centre, having exceeded 40 points each of the last 4 seasons playing lesser roles, including penalty killing. Paired with Kessel and possibly Lupul, Connolly will be given a chance to put some points on the board with Toronto.
The 2 year deal for a 30-year old with serious concussions in his past makes perfect sense. Longer term deals have to be reserved for players closer to the age of Schenn, Kessel, Reimer and Phaneuf. By acquiring him via free agency rather than trade, the health-related risks to the move are severely diminished. The move tells Joe Colborne to be ready, as TC hasn't played a full season in a while.
With Nonis landing Connolly, the icing on the cake for Leafs Nation would be Burkie and Schenn coming home from Afghanistan with terms agreed upon, allowing the Buds GM more time to focus on looking for another Top 6 winger.
